Question:
Just tried to play a region one DVD and I get the not authorised message. It was fine until last night when I turned on the player and (don't laugh)...
I sat on the remote control and then the setup sceen when you first plug your DVD player popped up. I turned it off then on again and watched my region 2 DVD. Just tryed to watch a R1 DVD this morning and...
I have tried the download with the bin and cue files on CD-R but that didn't work. Any ideas?
Cheers

Put the Dvd back to Factory Settings, and re-type in your Remote Code.
How do I do that Herbal?
Sounds like he has already set the dvd player back to the factory settings and thats the problem. He has possibly reset the multiregion mode. However its possible that he has set the dvd player to pal only in the menus and needs to set it to auto to recover multiregion ability. Seems like the Toshibas when faced with a ntsc dvd and only pal output set refuse to play the dvd.
Bonzo Banana, it is set on ''Auto'' and refuses to play R1's.
Damn my clumsiness.
Thanks for the help chaps, it is much appreciated.
You need to run the upgrade disc again ... if you cant burn one then you'll have to buy one
Thanks Steve, Bonzo Bannana and Herbal, I burned the files correctly (first time I dragged and dropped them :help: ) and it now works.
Glad you got it sorted, but not sure i helped you
Dragging this thread up again beacuse the same thing has happened to me! Didn't doanything untoward to cause it, just turned it on, put a disc in and came up unauthorised
So.. has anyone ever burnt a working disc to a mac??? :help:
I'm on OS 8.6 btw.. it's getting a bit long in the tooth :)
