Component yes, progressive no.
Just to hijack the thread (in fear of starting a new one and it getting closed cos there are so many on this player).....
Mine arrived today from Amazon and I am extremely happy with it. Plugged it all in and the picture and sound was crystal clear - then I realised it wasn't rgb, so I flicked it over to rgb in the setup menu and wow, what a difference. If anyone ever needs an example of how rgb is better than composite then you can't get better than that - the difference was staggering.
I was in Maplins, and I saw a fully wired two-scart box for £9.99 so I bought that (I know the argos one is great, but I wanted one that I don't have to manually switch between devices) BUT, low and behold it has problems. It gives full rbg, but as soon as you plug in the second device (which is not even powered on!) then the sound cuts out, well not out, but down so low that you have to have your tv on full whack to hear anything.
I opened it up (don't tell Maplins :nono: ) and all the wires were fine etc so it appears to just be a problem with the design of it.
Back to Maplins it goes!
I have one of those Argos scart boxes, best £10 I spent!
Works a charm with my SD330.
