I have searched, and read all the posts but couldn't find an answer so hopefully this won't get closed.
I am going to buy the Amazon Tosh 330, but from Richer sounds as you can get £10 off, BUT, is the Richer player multiregion?
The reason I ask this is I need to make sure it is M/R as there appears to be no hack that doesn't involve flashing.
Toshiba make the player and distribute it as Region 2 according to their website, so who actually mods it???
I know I can guarantee it being M/R from Amazon as it says it has been modded, but anyone know about Richer Sounds?
Also, what's the difference between the SD330 and the SD330E?
I got one from RIchers - said it was mr, got it home - wasn't. Took it back to meet profuse apologies and got a replacement, assured it was mr.
Tested it yesterday, it wasn't. Off back today, again.
YOu can get a hack, but I tried it & couldn't get it to work.
this may be no reflection at all on the outlet, maybe they got an incorrect delivery. However, I'll be insisting they test it in the store before I leave this time.
Don't think there is a 330, might be a typo, only model I've seen and am aware of is the 330E

went into Richers Sheffield today - they had a duff batch and will take new delivery on Thursday of what should be a working mr machine.
Worst thing was I bumped into a chap outside who'd just bought 2 - and he'd travelled 60 miles. He'll not be too chuffed when he gets home.......
