Ummm what just happened?
Question:

I have a Sony DVP-NS700P for about a year now and it has worked great. Yesterday it decided that it did not like me anymore so it wont eject. Anybody with any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Buy a new one? Doubt its worth repairing, have you tried both the eject button on remote and the one on the unit itself?

Do you guys know what caused this so ill be careful next time?

If it's under a year old it'll be within warranty and I'd take it back.

May sound daft, but unplug it from the wall for five minutes or so and then try again - it has been known to work :)

It's worth a try.
At the weekend, my Sony 536 just refused to play any Region 1 discs, it had been working fine for years. I tried to put it into Region 1 manually, but it did not work. In the end I turned it off at the mains for 5 minutes and when I turned it back it was fine

Actually, it might have a two year warranty, depending on when the EU rule on warranties came in (which is why consumer electronics come with two year manufacturer warranties these days). I've no idea when that became law, though, and it only naturally applies to goods bought after that date.

warranty was for one year and it just pasted.:oh-hum:
Now to look for one of those dvd players that can play all those formats.
Well thanks people for your replies c yall later.
