Toshiba TV question
Question:

I've been offered a Toshiba 29" 2987DB TV with the rear speakers for £100 and as I only have a 14" TV at the moment I'm pretty tempted.
Haven't ever really looked at TV prices on high street sand so on and hav eno idea of second hand prices or what type of TV manufaturer Toshiba is.
Is this a good deal? Should I go for it?
Thanks

All IMHO/
No idea about this set in particular, but my Tosh set is the best TV I have ever owned. Its waaaay outperforms the other sets I run, including an equivalently priced Philips and a Sony.
/All IMHO
Maybe I've just been unfortunate with the others, but I'd definately rate them as a manufacturer. Go check unbeatable or (insert your favourite online hardware retailer here) for a price guide.

That's a decent set - my parents have one (pretty sure its that one).
I would guess it would be a good few years old though, so I'd perhaps knock em down to £90 inc. Assuming that's with the stand (which has the centre speaker in IIRC).
My Toshiba 32mw7Db was a great set. So I have no qualms recommending a tosh.

Cool. I may as well go for it I guess.
Toshiba's don't have know problems with tubes or anything do they??
I'm kind o f buying it sold as seen as he wants to sell it on without having to worry about it a few months down the road which I can understand.
Of course I'll power it up and check picture etc first though :)

I would think you'll be alright as long as it isn't more than about 6 years old. If it's older than that I'd start knocking money off!

Answers:

I believe it was bought in 99 so only about 3 - 4 years old.

Sounds like a sweet deal then. Avittttt!!!
