TV gone to the dogs -- what type should I get now?
Question:

My Philips tv is up the left -- after just 3 years, the tube's gone!
Any one in particular I should get as a replacement? I need a 24 inch widescreen -- I know 24" telly's are not popular but, really, I have no room for anything else.
Any suggestions would be most welcome, thanks in advance.

Answers:

That's poor - have you contacted Phillips. I'd be less than chuffed if a tube failed in that short a time.
Here are a few 24's:

Both are nice flatscreen jobs - you might as well get the best you can eh!!

My old man's got the older Panny 24" (due to limited space) & is well chuffed. This model is not flatscreen, & if that's not an issue could probably source one cheaper than the current model?

Thanks for the replies everyone.
I have contacted Philips, and they're prepared to give me 50% of the cost of a new tube -- I have to pay the other 50% plus the labour charge.
I'm not sure what to do, that's still going to be quite a cost I reckon -- maybe I should use the opportunity to get a new flatscreen.

Tell them you will take there 50% in cash, then buy something that has a warranty that's worth something.
