Sony HTBE1 advice
Question:

I'm looking to buy an upgrade to my Nicam stereo that I currently have on my TV. I was thinking of going for the little Sony HTBE-1 system as I have a Sony Dvd player already. My room size is roughly 4x4 meters.
As I dont have a lot to spend on this and I can get the Sony for 150 quid which would be about my budget...would it be worth me getting or would it be to underpowered for the room size ?
I would say as I live in a flat I'm not looking for a system that would blow the windows out !
Thanks for any advice.
Steve
PS I noticed that Argos are selling the HTBE-1 for £279 while Empire are selling for £149.....being new to the internet I'm amazed at the price difference..are Empire a decent enough company to deal with ??

Answers:

Hi Stevesco, welcome to the forums. The HTBE-1 should be fine for a room that size from what I've read about it. I'm very close to buying one from Empire Direct myself so I've being doing a bit of research on it. The fact that it has an inbuilt DTS decoder is a big plus for me.
The only problem I can see is if you move it may not be powerful enough for a larger room.
Do any other forum members have one? Can anyone give us a decent review or suggest a similar alternative?
