Question:
My Toshiba TVs remote control interfears with my amp.
i.e. I turn the sound up on the amp and the TV goes up.
I put the txt on the TV and the amp goes to pro logic.
Any ideas ?

I'm assuming your amp and tv are on top of each other? Assuming (again) that you can't separate them, you could do either of the following:
Cover the IR eye on the front of the less frequently used equipment with a small piece of insulating tape (black/silver). There, now the amp can't see the remote, so no confusion.
Alternatively, if it's a hassle to not be able to control the amp via remote, you could use an IR relay system, such as that employed on a video sender. This would cover the IR receiver on the amp, and permit you to put the relayed IR eye somewhere else (ideally the opposite side of the room). Then you just have to remember to point the remote towards the TV for channels, etc, and away from the tv but towards the relay the amp.
Alternatively, there's likely a far simpler way that I didn't consider, but then, its early and I'm pre coffee.
