Question:
For some reason my wharfedale 750 will not read copied DVD`s.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated:confused:
Many thanks
I have not yet found any make of DVDr to be read on my Wharfie 750, believe me, I've tried over 50 makes of DVD-R. Just dont think its feasable.
Would love to be proved wrong........

Take the plunge and buy a new player that will play dvd-r's.
My 750S second gen has played one DVD-R which was a friend's wedding video, I don't know the make of DVD-R but the disc was purple.
Dont know if youve tried it yet, but the Datasafe Classic worked like a dream on my mates original 750, also works great on my 750s.......
Worth a try if you havent already :-)
cheers everyone think I will have to buy a new one. Can always put wharfie in kid bedroom!!!!!
My Wharfie 750 is also 2nd generation and has played VCD's and one DVD-R, but again dont know the brand.
Hi all this was actually the same question i was going to ask. I did a web search on this a few months ago and read on a site that the 750 will not play dvdrs only the 750s as it has a sony chip inside and thats what the s stands for. A friend of mine if giving me a dvdr i sent him some princo ones. So it looks like i will probably have to fork out for new player. Unless there was some way to upgrade the 750. Its a shame though as other than this ive been more than happy with my wharfedale player it has till this met all my needs even as you know being multi region but i wasnt thinking about dvdrs at the time.
I mean the 750 is not supposed to support vcds but vcds work great on this machine. Strange as there is even a vcd logo displayed on the lcd when you put one of those discs in
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated:confused:
Many thanks
