i have the 32ls60 mate an its a superb tv a lot better than the 36zd26 toshiba i had so i cant say if the fx66 is any good.but by what a few people say in the avforums the fx66 is a great tv if you want more info on it go to www.avforums.com an do some homework on it.i cant stress enough if you want opinions on stuff owend by normal people an not stuff rigged by magazine reviews you cant beat forums.:D
Thanks m8.
After reading the forums last night, I think I've been put off widescreen tv's for ever.
I have a Sony 4:3 and the geomatary and picture are excellent, but it seems pot luck on getting a widescreen right.

You're loss matey :) My Sony 28LS60 has adjustable horizontal geometry & the picture is astounding (and straight :D ). Also most films are shot in Widescreen so you're just kidding youreself if u think 4:3 is better.
Listy, what's watching football like on your set? (I have sky) I've read that 100hz sets can suffer a bit cmpared to 50hz models, but that the LS60 is one of the better ones.
As the LS60 has no digital processing in it (which is good) I have no problems watching the Footy on Sky Digital. In fact it is a smoother picture than the 50Hz Philips TV that we have downstairs. Of course I can't guarantee that you're picture will be perfect as it all depends on the quality of signal coming from the Sky Dish but it should be fine :)
Excellent, it's now top of my shortlist. :)
I ain't too keen on the shape of the ls60. It also looks as if a centre speaker would fall straight off
Is the 28ls60 100hz?
lol my b&w centre speaker is just fine on mine mate lol yeah its a 100hz mate an dont be put off wide its the way forward. oh yeah an watching football on my 32ls60 is fine no probs what so ever i always stayed away from 100hz sets but the pic is just fine with footie etc.i like the look of the ls range to be honest mate has 66 an im not to keen on the way the speakers point inwards rather thanstay at the side why thgis bothers me im not sure cause i have a full blown kick arse av home cinema lol.
Cool.
At £749 for the 32ls60 it's a snip. Will have to venture down to currys and have a bit more of a look. Hopefully it will grow on me.
oh yeah an while i think on there where a few issues with the older sony tvs with the drc 100 hz digital processing a lot of the tvs had scrolling bar syndrome on the picture.but im pretty sure the fx66 is scrolling bar less an it is a hell of a tv so you cant go wrong really mate.you might wanna do a scrolling bar search on the avforums which ever set you choose hope its problem free an your happy with it an have a good christmas mate
Am I allowed to post url's with prices on?
If so, this is the cheapest I've seen these TV's.

But when yot for around £612, but I think I'll either get it from Comet online as it's £620, or with a DVPNS305 dvd player from unbeatable for £620.
Cheers though.
Ah, we'll spotted Dwarf.
I would also take a very good look at the Panasonic tx32pl1.
Around £620 delivered at techtronics and has some top notch reviews. Maybe I'm getting old but I prefer the design to the Sony ls60.
One last question. Does a centre speaker look like it's slopping down when resting on top? I've just looked at one in currys at the top looks like it slopes forward,
I've had the Sony Wega 32fx60 for a couple of years now and it's superb. I've not had any problems with it and you can switch from 100 to 50 hz to suit yourself.
i use the rubber foot studs underneath my b&w mate an there very level besides you shouldnt really just have the centre resting ontop of the tv with no feet or supports underneath.
Cheeky..:)
I ain't got it just resting m8...:)
lol good lad ;)
