Question:
hi
ok here we go
i have tv with 1 scart socket.
the scart goes from video into cable box, then another scart lead from cable box into tv. works fine
brought dvd player, plugged into spare hole in back of video. no good, unless its on av2 on video.
got a basic 3 into 1 scart box, plugged in dvd and cable and the box into tv. works ok apart from picture brightness going light then dark ???
this set up id for my mom, she 65. she wants to be able to switch tv on. switch cable on... watch cable
switch tv off
switch tv on push video tape into video, automatically goes to video and she watches video
switch tv off and video
switch tv on and dvd on and put dvd in and watch dvd.
i feel, she is going to mess about with a scart box with buttons on it and get confused. she wants it simple.............
any ideas you good people out there???
this is my very first post. sorry 4 rabberling ;-)
You could try an automatic SCART swicth box which will detect when one device sends a signal and automatically switch to using its input.
Some retailers who sell these are:
http://www.euronetwork.co.uk/acatalog/SwitchBoxes.html
http://www.accessorystore.co.uk/Audio_Video_Controls.html
thanks for that
