Question:
All,
Having a problem with my TV, I am sure there are lots of technical terms to explain it, but I don't know them so please bear with me!!
If I am watching a DVD or Sky Digital and the screen fills with bright colour (for example fade-outs where instead of the picture fading out to black, it fades to white) then the picture will briefly distort and go black & white.
Any ideas what this is and how I can correct it?
Cheers,
Ryan

Deffinetly doesn't sound normal to me. Sounds like a repair job or replacement job unfortunatley, tho a quick check of your existing appliances hooked up to it wouldn't hurt but i doubt it'll help.
Sounds like the tube is on the way out - similar thing happened to my JVC 29" 4:3 set. Does the brightness vary on very dark scenes too?
I was told that a new tube on my 2 1/2 year old set would be £300 + labour (and no extended warranty) . A couple of polite letters to JVC customer services explaining my disappointment at the short life of the TV lead to a replacement tube being sent free of charge but without any admission of liability (fair enough I thought).
Check all your connections and if it still does it get it looked at by an authorised repair outfit.
