Question:
Argh! As much as I love my Tosh, it has a very annoying habit of 'sticking' on discs. It generally doesn't have a problem with the layer change but (increasingly often) 'sticks' during playback on certain scenes and it seems to be doing this more and more often :(
Anyone help? It's getting to be such a problem that if it isn't fixed easily I'll be looking at getting a new player (or palming my Tosh onto my sister)
I have the same problem on my Tosh 210.It is only a cheap spare model, but it freezes after about 20 mins of play.To get it going, you have to FForward or Rewind.Annoying, but i can live with it,as it is hardly used.I tried cleaning it with that special disc and fluid, but it made no difference. If i had to guess i would say it was a laser issue, but it's just a guess.

Mine isn't that bad (though seems to be freezing a lot these days). No it is NOT good enough - I've only had the player just over a year. Other than trying a laser head cleaner, any other suggestions?
The Tosh players are noted for a problem with the layer change. A few of my friends had this problem which was quickly sorted out by the retailer under warranty. Also, I think I am correct in stating as far as I am aware it is a known problem that Toshiba are aware of so it may be worth contacting your retailer for comments.
Mine has started doing this as well!11 months old cleaned the lens with the special cleaner and has helped it had not froze for over a week until last night.Think i will be sending mine back under warranty.

Hmmm. Got mine from Multi Region Magic modded so will this be covered under the warranty? I know some warranties are invalid if the player has been 'tampered' with.
