Question:
Hello all I have just purchased a Sony kp44px2u rear projection tv now all seems fine except for a yellow stain in the top left hand side of the screen now I have tried the automatic convergence setting but it doesn’t seem to do a lot and I have turned the brightness and the contrast down but that hasn’t help at all does any one no of a service menu with a better convergence settings or has any one got any idea what’s going on
Thanks
Trying unplugging your TV for 30 minutes (or maybe over night )so that your tv can degauss itself. The yellow stain may have been caused by moving the tv while it's on or a non-magnetically shielded source nearby (like a speaker) if you have anything like this near the tv, move it away and then unplug the TV and see if this cures it.
Thanks mate ill unplug it tonight and I will give it a go I haven’t got any speakers near it except my centre but I was under the impression the RP televisions never got effected buy magnetic fields
Ah, I didn't read your post properly! You might be right about RP Tv's not being affected by megnetic fields, I have no experience of RP tv's so I couldn't tell you! Not sure if unplugging it will work then as I'm not sure if RPTV's would have a degauss function.
Thanks
