Question:
I am considering purchase the excellent Sony DVP-NS705V model!
But before i do i was just wondering if the player is hackable because i have various other regioned dvds.
Other question i have is that are all dvd players hackable in one form or other, whether is be chipped or hacked through the control?
Which are the best manufacture of dvd players (just curious). I heard it was Pansonic but that can't be true can it?
I hope someone can help me out there????
the NS705 cannot be hacked by it's own remote , you need a special upgrade remote that you can rent from me

In theory all players can either be hacked or chipped but in practice there are some players that chippers like me dont bother working on as they are not as popular as other brands so it's not worthwhile , for example the latest Sharp Video/DVD combis liek the NC55 and NC60 cannot be hacked by remote ( or it has not been discovered) but I for one arent going to waste any time on it , I had a quick look saw it wasnt simple so didnt pursue it

As you`ve not yet bought it, simply purchase it modified and you`ll still get a warranty with it! Sony, Pioneer, panasonic, Marantz, JVC, Toshiba, Kenwood, etc all offer DVD players.
All depends on your budget and requirments - if looking at the 705 that would indicate a budget of about £200-£250, which means theres a lot of half decent models, but nothing really outstanding. So either spend less on something like a Pioneer Dv350/454/ Sony DVPNS305 / Tosh 220 or more on a Sony DVPNS905 / Pioneer 656A / Marantz DV4300 etc.
Hope that helps
LOL both touting for business
i have to agree with justin its far easier and cheaper to buy the player already chipped.
Yes I agree too , it's better to buy the player already multiregion
