Question:
I have been shopping around and have found for the above player for £138.96 delivered. Is this a good price as I understand that it a good budget player with an onboard decoder
Apparently it's a good player, but surely you want to pay a bit extra and get one that's been modded for multi-region..??
Oh and if that's from Techtronics, you need to add VAT to the price..
That's about right for one that's been modded........got one myself and it's a great player.
it doesnt have the onboard decoder just a digital bitstream.
At that price you can get a multi-region modded version., Try Richer Sounds
And yes it is a very good player for that price and plays kind of disc that I throw at it.
Ooo yeah £135 modded from Richers..
:dork:
Techchronics want nigh on £200 for it..

The 420E has a decoder though..
no spacekid. I have a 220 and believe me there is no 5.1 decoder output in the back. The spec you have printed looks like the 510E model which is DVD-A compatible so would require the individual outputs
I've spoke to Richer Sounds and they have confirmed Micky is right. They recommend the Cyberhome player any ideas on this one
spend the extra on the Tosh mate. RS looks like they have a distribution deal on Cyberhome so probably wants to off load as many as poss
I need the decoder as I an replacing my Grundig DVD which was part of a cinema package (decoder in the player which is now knackered) what is the best budget one, as I have read comments on the Cyberhome and it got poor build quality
is the amp built into the Grundig player or is it seperate? if it is, you will need to fork out for a new amp too
