Question:
I wanted to know if anyone has bought this integrated speaker package,
I was wondering how it sounds and how it compares with it's £250-£300 price tag
or would it be better to buy
Pioneer VSXD510 + Yamaha NSP220 Budget AV Package
cheap amp + Yamaha NSP220 Budget AV Package

Its ok for what it is, which is a simple solution similar to the Yamaha VS10 or Digitheatre.
However, going for a full "cheap" amp and speaker pack will ultimatley offer you more flexability and performance. All depends really on what you want to spend I guess and how much space you have..
I was wondering this too.
Justin, what would you recommend in a similar price range? My only requirements are that it needs to have DPL2 and be in silver :D.
I had thought about the HTBE1, but thought perhaps I could probably get something a bit nicer for £300 ish.
Bare in mind that I know nothing about what is decent.
Does anyone know if their is any reviews for Sony HTBE1 ?
Or has anyone bought one of these?
looking at picking up one of these myself ... would also be interested in what ppl think of it
http://www.hifibitz.co.uk/warehouse/details.asp?ProductID=SONHTBE1
Hifibitz have it for £220 inc delivery which seems a good price.

What about some sort of deal on a Pioneer VSXC100 & SV40S (what I call the AV51 as its the HC51 without the DV454). Might be something I add in the Oct. forum offers for about £330-340ISH? Just a though...

Just had a look at these on your site - very nice indeed.
I guess this sort of unit sounds much nicer than the HTBE1? Its a bit more than I planned to spend, but I may be interested.

Yup, the HTBE1 is designed as a multimedia or second room simple box solution - theres certainly nothing wrong with it, but its not in the same league as something like the pioneer separates or equivelent separates you could pick up elsewhere for £400ish.
Hope that helps
