SONY KV28LS35 - can it handle NTSC?
Question:

As title thread
I'm looking to buy one from John Lewis (price matched with the cheapest place I can find)
I have a multiregion player, and I want to be sure I can play my region 1 discs on it before I buy.
Will it be OK?
update! - the comet website sugests that it can't handle NTSC! :( eek!

Answers:

I'd be amazed if it didn't. My KV32FX60U which is a couple of years old now handles NTSC and has a whole truck load of other TV signal varients that it'll handle.
JL should be able to show you the manual which should give a clue, but best advice would be to pop along with your player and an NTSC disc and try the display model.

The Comet website? Wouldn't it have been easier to check the Sony one? :p
Colour System - PAL, Secam, NTSC 3.58 / 4.43 Video In
My parents have got one and it displays NTSC discs fine.

Doh!
Cheers, I just ordered one from my local House of Fraser store who happily price-matched Krish Audio-Visual (located at the other side of the country) at £499-00 (saving just over £150 on their current price)
 hurrah! my first widescreen telly is on it's way!

Muddy - Thats exactly the description for my Sony TV which I was unsure of its NTSC compatability!
Now you have said that your TV can handle NTSC perfectly I can now go and give a Multi Region DVD Player a try!
Thanks
Carl
