TV-tuner
Question:

Later this summer, I'm replacing a direct-view TV with a projector. For the cases where still wish to watch TV, I would need an external TV-Tuner. Anybody know of such items?
Thanks

Video with tuner?

For analogue TV the only one I've seen is the Panasonic Tu-PTA300B. Probably quite pricey tho. Surely, a set top digibox is the way to go?

No Digital-TV yet in Belgium :(
Video with tuner?
Is indeed a possibility but would prefer a separate box.

Not much choice these days I suppose. Several companies (in the UK) are producing digital receivers for the free-to-air channels at the analogue ones are due to be phased out in a couple of years.
Your best bet is a video as it's cheap, easy to get hold of and a separate box. You can use your TV as the tuner if there's a SCART output on the back... used a similar setup at the office for the World Cup!
The only other alternative I can think of is even more messy, and that's a PC with tuner card..... might be OK is you choose to build a home cinema PC for running your projector. The lack of reasonably priced PAL progressive DVD players makes this a good option.

Have a look at

It is apparently ver good, and includes a line doubler as well, so you should get a better picture. Its about 150 pounds I think.
